Abstract
610,605. Cooking utensils. HOLLIMAN, C. April 11, 1946. No. 11130. [Class 66] A saucepan, &c., 45, Fig. 8, has a hollow handle 44 with a slot 55 along which slides a rib 54 on a button 53 to open or ciose the lid 40. Parts of the pan may be die cast and the button 53 linked by an extension 51 to the lower arm 49 of a cruciform lever 42 the upper arm 41 of which carries detachably the lid 40 and the side arms 46 pivot in holes in the sides of an openbottomed handle. In a modification, as shown in Fig. 10, the button actuates the lid through a rack 82 and pinion or quadrant 85, and may be locked in a hole 78 at each end of the slot. According to the Provisional Specification the button may be detachable and the lid may be spring-urged in either direction.
