Abstract
609,640. Reinforced cellular concrete. STRUCTURAL & MECHANICAL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERS, Ltd., and GOLDBERG, A. March 19, 1946, No. 8524. [Class 20(iv)] Reinforced cellular concrete articles are made by coating the reinforcement with a material which is solid at normal temperatures and softens and flows at elevated temperatures and which adheres to the reinforcement, casting the cellular concrete about the coated reinforcement, then curing the cast mass at an elevated temperature sufficient to soften the coating material and enable it to penetrate into the concrete. The coating, e.g. high melting point bitumen, may be applied by dipping or spraying.
