Abstract

608.796. Curtain suspensions. STOLLERY, C. A. S. Feb. 28, 1946, No. 6325. [Class 52(v)] A curtain suspension device comprises spring controlled and horizontally disposed hinged links suspended from overhead rollers 15 which run on the fixed curtain rail 12 and are provided with curtain suspension hooks, which also form the link hinges, so that the curtain, when opened, does so in a neatly formed condition. The hinges forming part of the suspension hooks 24, 26 are each provided with helical springs 28 the ends 29, 30 of which cooperate with adjacent links to tend to open and extend the links. A cord 31 threaded through the runners provides the operating means for the curtains. The rails are supported by inverted L-shaped brackets. the vertical limb 39 of which is slotted at 44 and milled on its outer face to co-operate with the milled nuts of screws which adjustably secure the rails in position.
