[Class 96] A scraper for a cylinder 10 of a papermaking machine has several, resilient, short-edged blades 3 mounted obliquely on a support 1 so that each edge forms an angle with one and the same generatrix of the cylinder. The blades may be clamped to the support 1 by plates 4 and may overlap slightly. The scraper may be reciprocated.
