Abstract

Thiophenylthiophosphone diamides of the type <FORM:0605268/IV(b)/1> are prepared by reacting thiophosphoryl chloride, thiophenol and ammonia. Specification 500,386 is referred to.ALSO:Agents for combatting vermin are prepared by mixing at least one synthetic contact insecticide having the formula: <FORM:0605268/VI/1> wherein Ar1 and Ar2 are aromatic radicals substituted with the same or different non-salt-forming constituents and V and W mean halogen or hydrogen atoms with one or more phosphoric acid diamides or thiophosphoric diamides of the general formula: <FORM:0605268/VI/2> wherein X and Y mean oxygen or sulphur atoms, R, R1, R11 and R111 mean hydrogen or alkyl groups, and R1 is an optional substituent being one or more halogen atoms and/or alkyl groups. The preparations may be applied as such or in solvents or diluents, in the form of emulsions, or suitable carrier substances or with other active (e.g. fungicidal) substances. Examples specify trichloromethyl-4 : 41-dichlorodiphenyl methane as the synthetic contact insecticide; and 4-methylphenyl phosphoric acid diamide, 4-chlorothiophenyl thiophosphoric acid-bis-dimethyl amide, 4-chlorophenyl-dithiophosphoric acid dramide, 4-amyl-phenylphoric acid diamide, 4-methylthiophenyl-phosphoric acid diamide as the diamides. Other componds within the two classes are refered to. Other specified additions are emulsifying agents such as the sodium salts of alpoxy acetic acid with alpoxy residues of C4-C9, oleic acid oleyl ester, a -undecyl-4 methylbenzyl-trimethyl-ammonium-methosulphate. dimethyl-aminoacetic acid-dodecylamido-chloromethylate, dimethyldodecylamino-chlorobenzylate; solid inert diluents such as calcium carbonate, talc and bentonite; solvents such as 6-methylol-tetrahydro-naphthalene-1:2:3:4 and tetrahydronaphthalene; and other additions such as the condesation product of formaldehyde with dicyandiamide and dicyamidine and slaked lime together with a liquid fatty acid. Specification 500,386, [Group IV], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also the employment in place of the synthetic contact insecticides specified above of numerous natural and synthetic contact insecticides such as pyrethum, rotenone, pulvinic acid, vulpinic acid, benzine acid chloride, high molecular amines, dinitrophenols thiocyanates, substituted ethylenes, substituted acetylenes, substituted ethers, substituted esters and substituted ketones. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
