Abstract

603,436. Projection screens. HEHN, O. Jan. 31, 1945, No. 2441. [Class 97 (i)] In a concave projection screen the contours of the margins of the screen are symmetrical curves, the depth of the culmination points of the top and bottom lying between 6 and 16 per cent of the length of the screen and of the sides between 4.5 and 12 per cent of the height of the screen. One form is shown in side elevation in Fig. 3 and in detail section in Fig. 6. A lattice framework supports pairs of curved members 38, 40 at the sides of the screen with similar members at top and bottom. Each of these members carries rows of hooks 36 to which the margins of the sheets 24, 26 are laced. The exact contour of the margin of the front sheet is determined by a metal strip 49 supported on brackets 50.
