Abstract
603,386. Protective arrangements. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and TURRALL, J. C. Oct. 19, 1945, No. 27521. [Class 38 (iv)] In a D.C. electric circuit for a trolley bus, connection of auxiliary circuits to trolleys 4, 5 is controlled by the contacts 8 of a contactor having its operating coil 9 connected across the trolley circuit in series with a dry plate metal rectifier 10, and contacts 11, normally closed in the " off " position of a master controller, and shunted by holding contacts 12 such that upon reversal of the polarity of the supply to the trolleys, the circuit of coil 9 is interrupted and cannot again be restored until the resumption of correct polarity of the supply and the return of the master controller to its " off " position.
