Abstract
603,086. Spring wheels. GUBLER, E. Jan. 29, 1945, No. 2258. Convention date, Aug. 23, 1944. Addition to 590,350. [Class 144 (i)] For transmitting braking-torque from the outer rim 2 to the inner rim 1, between which one or more spring bands 6 with supporting- rollers 7, 8 are fitted, as in the parent Specification, the inner rim is formed with lugs 11 entering recesses 12 in the outer rim with normal end-clearances 13. Application of the brake to the outer rim brings the lugs into abutment with the end-walls of the recesses, the return of the lugs to spaced positions being effected, on release of the-brake, by the reaction between the saddles 9, 10 and the rollers.
