Abstract

600,960. Rectilinear - motion bearings. ETABLISSEMENTS ROLLET & CIE. Sept. 12, 1945, No. 23560. Convention date, Nov. 27, 1939. [Class 12 (i)] An axially sliding rod 1 is guided by rollers 2 arranged around the rod and pivoting on spindles 3 contained in a fixed housing with resilient means interposed. Thus the spindles 3 may be mounted in frames 4a which are supported by or located within rubber blocks 7, housed in a supporting casing 5. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 8, the rollers 2a may have their spindles 3 supported by rubber discs 8 mounted in recesses in the fixed support 10. As shown, in Fig. 1, the rubber blocks 7 engage into side sockets of the frames 4a ; the rollers may be supported on their spindles by means of ball bearings. Plate springs may be substituted for the rubber blocks 7.
