[Class 138(ii)] [Also in Groups I, XI and XIII] A domestic-washing appliance comprises a cabinet fitted with a sink, wringer 4, and washing-machine 3, the wringer and washing-machine being mounted upon a door 1 of the cabinet so that they may be swung for use in front of the sink to the position shown in Fig. 1 or folded within the cabinet. The wringer 4 is pivotally mounted on a spindle 8 mounted in brackets 6 on the top of the door 1, and locking pins, which are operable by finger grips, are adapted to engage apertures 11 in the brackets 6 to secure the wringer in the upright position. In the out-of-use position, the wringer is folded down on to the washing-machine 3. The rollers of the wringer are adapted to be driven by a handle 5 through a chaindrive disposed in a two-part casing 7, which may be folded to the position shown in Fig. 3 when the wringer is in its housed position. A pivoted drip-tray 12 is provided at the front of the wringer for deflecting water to the washing-machine, being adapted to lie under the wringer when the latter is folded on to the washing-machine. A further drip-tray 13 which is pivoted on the rear of the wringer for deflecting water into the sink, is adapted to be folded on to the top of the wringer, when the latter is out of use. A gas or oil stove may be similarly mounted on the door of a compartment disposed on the opposite side of the sink to the door 1.
