Abstract
599,458. Clocks. SMITH & SONS (ENGLAND), Ltd., S., and LENOIR, R. M. J. Sept. 17, 1945, No. 23993. [Class 139] [Also in Group XXV] The winding arbor of a clock is externally screw threaded at its outside end 18 so as to be engageable by a wing nut 12 comprising two plates welded or brazed face to face and shaped to provide a through-way which is screwthreaded. In order to prevent backward rotation of the winding arbor when the nut 12 is screwed off there is provided at the end of the arbor a slit 19 engageable by a screwdriver.
