[Class 45] [Also in Group X] A grating comprises members 10 and 12 which are welded together at the points of intersection by pressure electric welding. Initially, the members 12 are oval in crosssection, being at least twice as deep as they are wide, with sharp apices which, when the members are twisted about a longitudinal axis, form continuous spiral edges 15, portions of which extend above the members 10 forming an anti-skid tread. The members 10 comprise flat metal bars set on edge.
