[Class 69 (ii)] In a hydraulic motor a sprayer attached at t. is oscillated by a toothed rack e between two pistons b, b<1>, supply of water to and from the pistons is controlled by a valve g. The valve is held in position by a member o passing along a slide f, but at the end of each stroke the member leaves the slide so that the valve is free to rotate, a quick throw action being given by the arm p compressing one or other of two springs q, q<1>. The stroke of the pistons is varied by using slides f of different length.
