[Class 20(iii)] [Also in Group XXV] Windows, doors, hinged lids or the like comprising a pair of wings 2, hingedly joined at 6 have means for holding the windows &c. in the fixed frames, consisting of two short trunnions 3 projecting from opposite sides of the fixed frame 1 and a pair of semi-circular grooves 4 at each end of the hinged sides of the wings, each pair forming a cylindrical recess engaging the trunnions when the window &c. is placed in the frame. When the window &c. is square the trunnions may be fixed on all four sides of the frame in which case the window &c. can be fixed horizontally or vertically and is provided with extra recesses and a locking means to engage the inoperative trunnions. Fig. 11 illustrates a case in which the hinge 6 connects angle plates 7 on the flaps 2, and recesses 4 in the plates house the trunnions.
