Abstract
593,208. Coffee pots. BURTON, L. V. June 16, 1945, No. 15354. [Class 129] A coffee percolator of the kind comprising a water container 12, a ground coffee receptacle 11, and a coffee pot 10 has the ground coffee receptacle provided with a vertical cylindical wall in which are formed perforations 20 to permit the escape of steam from the coffee pot, this arrangement being such that there is little danger of coffee grains clogging the perforations. Wire sieves may replace the perforated bases of the water container and the ground coffee receptacle and in the case of the latter an earthenware filter may be used. The wall of the coffee pot behind the spout 14 may be perforated to form a strainer. A lid 23 fits both the coffee pot and the water container and a spring clip 25 may hold the three components together.
