590,561. Brushes for dynamo-electric machines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 9, 1944, No. 19417. Convention date, Oct. 8, 1943. [Class 35] A contact or brush consists of 15-30 per cent carbonaceous material, with 35-60 per cent copper or silver, also 20-40 per cent silver sulphide. The sulphide may be mixed with the graphite &c. or be formed during the process from a mixture of graphite, silver and sulphur moulded under pressure and heated in a reducing atmosphere to 650-700‹ C.
