Abstract

590,178. Viewing-apparatus. MORGAN, J. G. Y. D. July 26, 1944, No. 14285. [Class 97 (i)] A device for viewing a transparency comprises a hollow open-ended body member adapted to receive a lens at one end and a transparency at the other, a frame being provided to carry the lens and form a raised ridge about the end of said body member. As shown, the rectangular section body 1 has a flanged end 3 to which the lens 2 is attached by adhesive material 4. The transparency 5, formed into a slide with protective glass plates 6, 7 is housed in a pocket formed by a sheet of material 8 attached to the body. The rear wall 9 of the pocket has a viewing aperture. The device may be housed in one of the apertures in the display card described in Specification 521,338, [Group XV], and viewed with an illuminating device as described in Specification 521,337, [Group XV].
