[Classes 52 (i) and 52 (v)] [Also in Group XVII] A towel supply means contains a vertical elongated separable loop upon which towels are mounted in such a way that used towels can be moved to a position out of contact with the clean ones and the loop can be removed complete with towels for laundering purposes. The towels 88 are hung by eyelets 89 from the loop 71 which consists of two portions 72 and 73 hinged together at 76 and locking at 78. The lower portion 72 is of square cross-section and is held by a latch in a forwardly inclined square recess in a supporting bar 52 on a post 50 which is attached to a separator plate 47. The separator plate is slidably mounted on forwardly inclined bars 42 mounted on upright portions 34 of a supporting frame 31, the supporting frame being pivoted in bearings 27 on the base 17 of a cabinet 15. The towels are each folded upwardly so that the free edges 91 hang over the upper portion 39 of a frame 35 which is connected to the upright 34 at 40 and fastened to the frame 31 at 38. The front towel can be pulled out and used, then slid over the top portion 73 of the loop and suspended behind the separator plate which moves forward until, eventually, all the soiled towels are at the back. By opening the latch, the complete loop with towels can be removed and another inserted. The complete assembly can pivot forward on the bearings 27, and is held by links 64 which move in slide brackets 57. In a modification, Fig. 11, a loop 111 fits in a central slot in a shelf 95, and its squared rear portion is held in place in a vertical slot in a rib 98 by a spring operated plunger 106. The towels are mounted on the loop by means of eyelets 89, rest on the shelf, and are folded at 90 so that their edges 91 hang down. Two spring followers 118 may be provided.
