584,929. Extrusion machines. ST. HELENS CABLE & RUBBER CO., Ltd., SWALLOW, A. V., and ENSOR, A. J. April 12, 1944, No. 6755. [Class 87 (ii)] In an extrusion head comprising pairs of dies 12, 13, between which non-metallic material is forced (e.g., to apply a coating to a wire fed along passage 15), a number of pairs of the dies are grouped symmetrically round an axis, with a single axial feed passage 20 leading from the interior of the head to the centre of the group and with branch passages 19, symmetrically disposed, leading from the passage 20, to separate extrusion chambers 18. The dies are housed in front and rear discs 5 and 6. The wires are fed to the dies through tubes 4.
