Abstract

584,200. Firelighters. BYRTE, H. C. Dec. 13, 1944, No. 25039. Addition to 565,545. [Class 50]. [Also in Group VIII] In the manufacture of firelighters as described in the parent Specification from rough surfaced sheets made by pulping, compressing, rolling or moulding waste fibrous materials, e.g., screenings or refuse from pulp and paper mills, &c., ground or comminuted to a relatively coarse texture, chips, lumps, or shavings of wood, bark or other ligneous material screened to # to “ inch size are incorporated, being added preferably after the fibrous material has been pulped and hydrated so as to be capable of forming a continuous sheet upon a paper or board making machine. The chips &c. may be treated to render them absorbent. Specification 407,361 is referred to.
