Abstract
580,649. Closing containers for electrical condensers &c. SPORING, P. A., and TELEGRAPH CONDENSER CO., Ltd. Jan. 31, 1944, No. 1723. [Class 125 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVI] Tubular containers for electrical condensers and other apparatus designed to protect the contents from moisture &c. are closed fluid-tight by means of disks 1 of substantially rigid insulating material covered on both sides and around the edges with natural or synthetic rubber 3 or other pliable material. Holes may be provided in the disk 1 to allow the rubber &c. on the two surfaces to be continuous. The disk rests on a beading 7 and is retained by a spun-over edge 8. In the example illustrated a leading-out wire 9 from a condenser 6 extends through a metal eyelet 10 to which it is soldered. Before soldering filling material may be introduced into container 5 through eyelet 10. The rigidity of the disk 1 must be greater than that of balata belting.
