580,325. Locking nuts. PHILIDAS, Ltd., MASON, A. O., and BOWMAN, E. D. June 28, 1944, No. 12289. [Class 89 (i)] A nut is rendered selflocking by slots 3 cut substantially parallel to the axis and subsequently closed-in. The slots are cut in a turned down portion 2 which is made conical so that closure may be effected by driving the nut into an aperture.
