Abstract

576,323. Mounting switches. BELL, C. F. April 25, 1944, No. 7687. [Class 38 (v)] Adjusting elements, provided with adjusting pins or screws, are used for aligning to the supporting surface electric fittings of the flush type such as switches, plugs and clocks. As shown, two metal elements 1 support a switch 2 and are provided with screw threaded bearings 4 and adjusting screws 6. When the switch has been aligned with the surface it is screwed to the base by screws 5. Flanges or angular formations are preferably provided on the underside of the elements to support the switch the base of which may have borings, recesses or slots to receive the flanges. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the two elements may be formed as a single frame to support the switch.
