572,869. Flushing-apparatus. CASE, W. G. Aug. 19, 1943, No. 13544. [Class 26] A flushing cistern 1, contains a cylinder 2, siphon-tube 3 and tubular pull-guide 4 constructed as an integral unit of vitreous china of other non-metallic mouldable material. The siphon-tube and tubular pull-guide may be provided with a flange 5 for securing the unit to the base of the cistern 1. The cylinder 2 contains a siphon-starting plunger which may be constructed of similar material to the cylinder. The tubular pull-guide 4 is bell-mouthed at its upper end to permit lateral movement of the pull and provides an emergency overflow.
