[Class 56] [Also in Group V] A hollow glass or plastic article of the shape shown, for example, in Fig. 9, is formed by taking a gob 3 of molten material on the end of a pipe 1, expanding it and making it hollow by blowing through the pipe so that it conforms to the shape of the coacting mould elements 5, 6 which are then closed on the expanded gob, sealing off the article and moulding it against the pressure of the enclosed air or other gas.
