570,443. Counting-apparatus. LANDIS & GYR SOC. ANON. Aug. 11, 1943, No. 13004. Convention date, Aug. 3, 1942. [Class 106 (i)] A counting mechanism 3, Figs. 6 and 7, has a magnifying rod 4 of lenticular cross-section mounted on the apertured dial plate 5 at a distance from the character bearing members corresponding to the focal length. The characters are inscribed in a substantially square space 6 on the members and adjoin adjacent characters and thus reduce the diameter of the members as compared with the normal or usual form of members.
