569,582. Cathode-ray tubes. CHANCE BROS., Ltd., HOLMES, J. G., and ENGLISH, J. Jan 19, 1944, No. 1038. [Class 56] [Also in Group XL] In a cathode-ray tube having one end b with concave outer face c and a convex inner faced, the end is formed as a separate component by a pressure-moulding operation and subsequently attached to the main body of the tube by fusion. As shown, the end b is formed with a shallow flange e by which it is connected to the main body by fusion. The component faces c, which may be polished, and d may be parallel with each other or they may form the faces of a meniscus lens, Fig. 2 (not shown).
