Abstract

568,609. Exercising - apparatus. VARMA, D. June 17, 1943, No. 9750. [Class 132 (i)] A device for use in exercising the fingers comprises a rigid member K having four holes K<5>, K<6>, K', K<8>, the positions of the holes corresponding to those of the first joints of the four fingers when the hand is in its normal open position. A hole K', corresponding in position to the first joint of the thumb, may also be provided. Two members K may be attached by swivels K<3> to a bar K<9> itself attached by a swivel K<10> to a fixed support. Instead of the holes passing through the rigid member K, recesses may be formed in the member to receive the tips of the fingers and thumb. Such recesses may be formed on both sides of the member so that this latter is reversible.
