Abstract

568,442. Roasting trays. SUTCLIFFE, H. June 3, 1943, No. 8885. [Class 66] [Also in Group VI] A roasting tray 1 is provided with handles 2 on opposite sides and with a removable cover 4 fitted with a removable container 7 for fats having its base or sides perforated or made of wire mesh to allow melted fat to drip on to meat in the tray. The sides of the tray and the handles 2 are inclined outwardly so that several trays may be nested for packing &c. Front finger grips may be provided separate from the handles 2. The cover may be provided with handles 14. As shown, the top 8 of the container 7 overlies the sides to form a flange for resting on the beaded edge 13 of the opening in the cover and is provided with a slidable handle 11, and the perforated bottom 10 is slidable to allow for inserting the fat. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification, 3705/02, [Class 28].
