[Class 132 (ii)] In an apparatus for playing a board game in imitation of cricket, fielder figures may be moved by handoperable means, back and forth along guide slots in the board. The slots in the board may be arcuate or straight. As shown, a moulded board with boundary wall 2 is provided with pegged-in wickets 4, 5, and a batsman 12 is mounted near the wicket 5 so as to sweep his bat in front of the wicket when given a rotary movement by means of a push-pull rod 8 and an arm 11 situated below the board. A groove 3 leads from the batsman to a shallow recess 13 adjacent the bowler consisting of a figure attached to a spring-pressed plunger 16 operated by a knob 16a. On a player operating the plunger, the ball is struck from the recess by the arm of the bowler figure and is projected along the groove. A second player by operating the batsman endeavours to strike the ball. In a modified means of actuating the batsman, the batsman is mounted on the pivot pin of a disc fitted under the! board and connected by an endless band or gearing to a driving disc projecting through the end of the board for convenient actuation by the hand of the player. The fielders 18 are mounted on the ends of levers 19 locatedbelo the board, and are supported on wires project-! ing. through arcuate slots 21. By actuating either of two push-pull knobs 23a, the fielders may be moved along the slots. Some or all the fielders on one side of the board may be actuated independently of some or all of the other fielders. Catch pockets 25 and scoring pockets 26 are formed in the board. When the fielders are arranged to move along straight slots, they may be clipped to an endless belt reciprocated by a pull-push bar.
