Abstract

567,896. Stencilling apparatus. ROBERTS, A. J. June 21, 1944, No. 9968/43. [Class 100 (ii)] A' manually-operated silk screen printing apparatus is provided with a pair of squeegees 18, Fig. 1, forming an inverted V and so mounted that as the carriage 13 is reciprocated the trailing squeegee becomes operative whichever way the carriage is moving. The squeegees are fixed to arms 15 pivoted at 14 and connected together by a rod 16. A pair of handles 20 pivoted to the carriage have arms 22, Fig. 2, connected to the rod 16 by pairs of springs 23. As the handles are pushed or pulled, one of the springs of each pair is tensioned and the arms 15 are thrown over to press the trailing squeegee on to the screen.
