Abstract

567,363. Photographic-flash lamps. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd., and BOER, J. H. DE. Jan. 8, 1943, No. 420. [Class 9 (ii)] Photographic-flash lamps comprise a non vitreous body-portion consisting of one or more layers 1, 2, of which one layer 2 is of regenerated cellulose, and an ebonite base 3 sealed to the regeneratedcellulose layer. The base 3 may be of electrically conducting ebonite with a projecting ring 4 for making electric contact with one pole of the source of current, the other contact being a wire 6 passed through a plug 5 of non- conducting ebonite sealed into the base. In a modification, the base is of ordinary ebonite and the bridge-supporting wires are mounted in blind holes in plugs of conducting ebonite sealed through the base. The compound body-portion 1, 2 may be as described in Specification 560,776.
