Abstract

Electric contacts, particularly magneto contacts, are made from platinum alloys containing 5-50 per cent of palladium with or without up to 15 per cent of other constituents which may include one or more of the elements ruthenium, rhodium, osmium, iridium, tungsten, molybdenum, gold, silver, copper, nickel and cobalt and up to 1 per cent of oxides of thorium, beryllium, aluminium and zirconium.
