[Class 146 (ii)] Magnetic marking - devices for a geographical map, which is provided with a backing of sheet iron &c., consist of a hollow body 1 of non-magnetic material, such as a plastic or glass, which is open at the underside and encloses a permanent magnet 6, so that weakening of the magnetic force by contact of the markers with one another is avoided. The magnet may be enclosed in a paper &c. wrapping 5, by which it is held within the marker, and lettering &c. on the wrapping may appear through a top opening. The marker may have an indicating- arrow 3. Specifications 484,851 and 555,952 are referred to.
