[Class 37] Dry plate rectifier units are caused to adhere the one to another in an assembly, in place of being held by tie rods, as by the use of a metallic varnish or an alloy of low melting point. In the former case an assembly is subjected to the vapour of a solvent of the varnish and allowed to dry. In the latter case, a foil or other layer of, for example, Woods metal, is placed between the elements and melted by heat. Specifications 476,846 and 554,972 are referred to.
