562,431. Mixing machines. PASCALL ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and STRINGER, G. B. March 15, 1943, No. 4189. [Class 86] Mixing apparatus for crystalline and finely divided substances comprises an axially rotatable container provided with a plurality of diametrically opposed radial chambers b, c all communicating with each other and arranged to provide between each of same a series of meeting edges e over which the substance under treatment will pass gently from one chamber to the next without affecting the crystalline character of the substance. In use the container rotates slowly about the axis j. Preferably, each chamber has a longitudinal baffle n. One or more of the chambers have hinged or sliding covers i<1> opened when filling or emptying the container.
