562,230. Journal bearings. HAYWARD TYLER & CO., Ltd., and HOWARD, G. P. E. Dec. 18, 1942, No. 1763/44. Drawings to Specification. Divided out of 562,229, [Group XXII]. [Classes 12 (i) and 12 (iii)] Relates to bearings of the tilting pad type, described in Specification 553,443, in connection with submersible electric motors or pumps and claims the location of the pads according to Cl. 7 of that Specification without restriction to submersible apparatus. The cage and pads are axially adjustable and the surrounding supporting member is fixed. The pads and cage are machined as described in Specification 553,443. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 553,443.
