Class 12(1) In a bearing device having means by which it can be charged with lubricant, helical grooves 4, 5 of opposite hand are employed to convey lubricant across the bearing in both directions from annular recesses 2, 3 adjacent the extremities of the bearing acting as reservoirs. The grooves may be arranged in the journal surface or in the bearing, and may have varying cross-sections in order to control the flow of lubricant.
