[Classes 69 (ii) and 135] A valve device particularly adapted for use in the exhaust line of control valve for a hydraulic cylinder is actuated by two independently operated cams and has a valve member comprising a piston with a plurality of triangular shaped serrations extending from one end thereof to an apex intermediate the length of the piston. The serrations may be of different lengths in a graduated series or in groups of varying length. A spring 32 holds an abutment 25 in contact with an edge cam 28 secured to one face of a cylindrical bearing member 27 arranged in a housing 24. A spindle 29 on the member 27 is formed with a knurled manipulating head 31 provided with an indicating dial 30. An extension 33 of the valve member is provided with a hardened head 35 engaged by a tappet 37 in contact with a cam 36 actuated by suitable means.
