553,839. Hand iron. FARMER, W. H., and MARSDEN, H. W. Dec. 27, 1941, No. 16710. [Class 138 (ii)] A hand iron with chamber for generating steam for conditioning the material pressed, has the chamber B formed with cross section normal to the face of the sole increasing with 'the distance from the points of entry C of the water The chamber may have thin baffles or be split into two or more parts by lengthwise partitions. The steam passes to the sole at the end of larged cross section and traverses a cushion chamber D covering a large area of the sole.
