552,147. Catalytic agents. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. (Du Pont de Nemours & Co., E. I.). Sept. 19, 1941, No. 12124. [Class 1 (i)] A noble metal catalyst on a carbon support is prepared by heating the support, either by boiling in an aqueous medium or by heating dry to the ignition temperature, and then immediately impregnating it with the noble metal compound. Platinum, palladium, and rhodium are the metals specified.
