Abstract

549,093. Safety-razors. MAGAZINE REPEATING RAZOR CO. Dec. 30, 1941. No. 16791 and 16792. Convention dates, Jan. 29 and Sept. 11. [Class 30] A safety-razor blade is guided and located by spaced projections on one face engaging a groove in the supporting-plate. The projections have corresponding indentations on the other face so that blades can be stacked into a pack and dislodged therefrom by an 'endwise sliding motion. The razor handle C, Figs. 4, 6, is adapted to receive a stack of blades from their clip 20 which has nubs 21 engaging the indentations of the top blade and a groove 22 receiving nubs 14 on the support plate 12 at the base of the stack. This plate has downwardly-bent ends 15, 16 and also tongues 17 engaging lateral projections 18 on a spring 19 in the carrier B which slides within the handle. The carrier is closed by a pivoted block 31 and a plunger 35 sliding on the carrier ejects the blades one-by-one into the shaving- head A, when aligned with the handle, this new blade at the same time ejecting the used blade from the head A. The blade pack may also be used with a magazine with an aligning finger for razors of the kind described in Specification 430,063. The projections may be formed by tongues 60, Fig. 13, struck out of the blade and sloping in the same direction. Modifications of the clip and container are described for use with razors of the kind described in Specification 358,664.
