Drawings to Specification [Class 82 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIII] Rigid articles such as metallic work-pieces or porcelain are cleaned or degreased by immersing them in a liquid and subjecting them to supersonic vibrations set up by one or more vibrators or resonators and transmitted through the liquid to the article. A solvent for grease and a saponifying agent or a soap may be added to the liquid.
