548,314. Sulphonamido compounds. ABBOTT LABORATORIES. April 11, 1941, No. 4863. Convention date, April 29, 1940. [Class 2 (iii)] 2 - p -Aminobenzenesulphonamido - thiazoline and -alkylthiazolines are prepared by reacting a p-acylaminobenzenesulphonyl halide with 2-aminothiazoline or a nuclear-alkyl derivative thereof and hydrolysing off the acyl group. The products possess therapeutic properties. An example is given of the preparation of 2-paminobenzenesulphonamido-thiazoline using pacetylaminobenzenesulphonyl chloride, whilst the 5-methyl-, 4:4-dimethyl-, 4:4-dimethyl-5- methyl- and the mono- and di-4 and 5-ethylproducts are also referred to.
