547,619. Bearings. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. June 24, 1941, No. 7914. Convention date, June 24, 1940. Addition to 536,414. Drawings to Specification. [Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] In a bearing having indentations as described in the parent Specification these are etched by means of the half-tone process and preferably are not more than 0.015 inch deep or 0.07 inch apart, between centres, and are between one half and twice the unetched surface in area. The centres may be spaced 0.016 inch apart and the depth 0.006 inch. The formation of the indentations and the'casting of the high-lead-base bearing-metal therein may be effected as a continuous strip process or after shaping the blank. The etching may be continued until undercut recesses are formed.
