546,062. intermediate frequency filters. HAZELTINE CORPORATION. March 27, 1941, No. 4138. Convention date, April 18, 1940. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] A band-pass intermediate-frequency transformer having variable coupling to enable the bandwidth to be adjusted to include a desired range and having its windings tuned mainly and preferably wholly by the tube and circuit capacities, has one or more anti-resonant circuits 38, 39 associated with its windings e.g. for giving a peak at f3 or a trough at f4, the tuning capacities of these circuits being more than ten times the tuning capacity of the transformer. As shown the pass band is that of a television signal, the peak at f3 corresponds to the carrier of the associated sound signal and the trough at f4 corresponds to the carrier of an interfering signal. Additional rejector circuits may be provided at 41, 42.
