545,567. Snap action switches. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). Nov. 14, 1941, No. 17401. [Class 38 (v)] A movable contact roller 4 becomes dis-engaged from a contact 17 which engages the end of the roller before it becomes dis-engaged from a " sparking " contact 16 which engages the periphery of the roller. In the form shown there are two pairs of contacts 16, 17, the contacts 17 being resilient and engaging the ends of a rigid roller. In a modification the roller consists of two halves pressed apart by a spring and engaging two rigid contacts 17. The subjectmatter is identical with that of Specification 602,430.
