Abstract

545,539. Plaster compositions. HARRIS, W. S., GREEN, C. B., and GRIFFITHS HUGHES, Ltd., E. Feb. 19, 1941, No. 2255. [Class 22] Plaster of Paris for use in forming surgical casts for fractured limbs &c. is mixed with kaolin, fuller's earth or other adsorbent inorganic substance. The composition may be mixed with a non-aqueous liquid and applied to fabric which after drying, will set on addition of water. The composition may contain also a substance which determines the setting period, and colouring matter. The Provisional Specification describes also the use of activated charcoal with plaster of Paris.
