543,906. Theatre &c. tickets. FREEDMAN, B. H. Nov. 13, 1940, No. 16433. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1939. [Class 106 (iii)] [Also in Group XV] A theatre ticket facilitating checking in order to minimize fraudulent use is cut from a strip of shape-retaining material divided transversely into unit areas 10 ... 13 &c. for severance in accordance with the number of patrons for which the ticket is issued, and is distinctively coloured at opposite sides of a longitudinal line 6 along which the ticket may be divided by an attendant, the part 3 being presented to the patron and the part 4 being retained for checking, the ticket also possessing sufficient longitudinal stiffness to render it difficult to divide the successive unit areas manually without visible evidence of the partition thereof. The unit areas are consecutively numbered, and when the ticket is issued from a machine such as that described in Specification 536,296 may be impressed with a number indicating the number of patrons for whom the ticket is issued. Feed pin holes 7 may be provided along the weakened line 6 at the junctions of the unit areas. The part 4 is wider than the coloured part 3. The price may be indicated by a coloured marking 22. Both sides of the ticket may bear the same colourations.
