[Class 17 (iii)] [Also in Group XXII] Hob nails of a form suitable for use in nailing machines have a rectangular shank with projecting barbs in the centre of the wider faces, the surface 41 being part of a surface of revolution and the surface 43 being plane. The barbs nearer the head project further. The head has a recess 21 surrounding the shank and is somewhat oval in form with six facets 27. The longer axis of the oval is at right angles to that of the shank. Specification 539,508 is referred to.
